Cleanup in Algood: what shapes the work
Settlement here goes back well before the railroad: the White Plains plantation, a stop on the old Walton Road, developed just south of present-day Algood in the early 1800s, and the town's Methodist church dates to 1899. In older houses, cleanup decisions often turn on materials such as plaster, old hardwood and original trim, and on how much can be cleaned instead of removed.
Main Street, the former State Route 42, runs through the center of town, and Route 111 is a main north–south road through the Upper Cumberland. With that much through traffic, vehicles are part of the picture, and a car or truck can need cleaning as well as a home.

- Close off the area. Shut the door, keep children and pets out, and turn off fans blowing toward the room.

- Call us when you are ready. We will explain what is involved before anything is agreed.

Questions from Algood
Can a car or truck be cleaned, or does it have to be replaced?
It depends on how far fluids reached. Hard trim can often be cleaned, while soaked seat foam and carpet padding usually have to come out. An insurer may make its own decision about the vehicle.
